2. Verify/Add Current Medications
After entering/verifying Allergies in DrFirst, select "Med Hx" from the top of the DrFirst menu.
- A list of medications filled in the last year will display on the bottom of the screen.
- Place a check mark next to the items you wish to add and then select "Add Selected".
- You will be brought back to the medication summary and the medications you just imported will populate in the current meds list. At this point you can delete or modify this list.
- When you are finished, select "Medications Reviewed" to note that you verified the current medications.
3. Assign Pharmacy
This is a very important step that has been overlooked in the past. This needs to be completed during the patient work-up. We will be doing audits to ensure that this step is being completed. Thank you!

How do I add the patient's Prescription Insurance Formulary information? Can I change or update this?
Formulary information is automatically imported from Surescripts. You do not need to add this and you are unable to modify the information. You can use the dropdown to select a different formulary, if a patient is associated with more than one, or select "No Formulary".

- If no formulary is available, (which could occur with government funded formularies or some small payers,) you will see an "Add" option to the right of the formulary section. Here you will enter the information from the patient's insurance card.
